England rapidbowler Josh Tongue has signed a new three-year contract with reigning county champions Nottinghamshire that will keep him at Trent Bridge until at least the end of the 2029 season.
The 28-year-old has taken 33 wickets in seven first-class matches for Notts at an average of 22.87, since moving from Worcestershire in 2024.
Tongue played six of those red-ball games early last summer, picking up 31 wickets, including three five-wicket hauls, as Notts went on to claim their first County Championship title since 2010.
So far this season he has played once, taking two wickets in Notts’ thumping 192-run win over Glamorgan.
